Hi. We are going to add another trip, possibly replace the Jan/Feb 05 trip with one sooner. My FIL was just put into hospice and we are trying to pick dates sooner than then so that they will be able to go with us all to WDW before he gets too sick. I am having a terrible time finding a time that I think would be good. Here are my concerns.
1. we need to go when the parks are the least busiest so we can do more in a shorter time b/c of his health
2. we need to work around my concert schedule and other events.
3. I wanted to go when my girls have a few days off school, but that would be the first week of Nov - ugh Jersey week!
4. I have to have enough money!!

Our current reservation is for Jan 31 to Feb 5. I have no problem taking the girls out of school. I am primarily concerned about the crowds. And should I re-book through the special needs cro? I'll go get my concert schedule and post those dates in a minute.

Concerts: 9/11, 10/23, 11/20, 12/17 Vegas: 9/24-27

Thanks. I'm not thinking all that clearly and I really need some help.

We've gone late January several times and last year we went in early Feb. Last year we left the Friday before President's Day and the crowds were starting to get heavier, earlier in the week they were good and the late Jan trips were always low crowd times, too.

The hours are shorter, of course, which is nice. It's easy to burn both ends of the candle when the hours are very long, even for people without health problems.

I'm sorry about your FIL. How wonderful that you all are planning a WDW trip--he must be looking forward to that.

I'm planning a trip with my mother in early December--her first trip to WDW. Her health is good, considering that she is 81yo, but she has some heart problems and 2 hip replacements and I know how special the time with her is.

Don't let the idea of Jersey Week scare you! We went there last year and the longest lines were only 20 minutes. Compared to summer and spring lines, this is nothing. Really -- it isn't bad! We loved it so much that we are going back again this year. The weather is beautiful. I would take the November trip and enjoy yourself. I think it would definitely be worth it.

Another vote for the first week of November. We went during Jersey Week last year and I admit, I was a bit apprehensive about the dates. Shouldn't have worried!:bounce: We had a great week, low crowds, beautiful weather. We'd be going back the same time this year, but the kids want another Christmas trip! Go and don't worry about Jersey Week! We met alot of really nice people that week
