I need some advice on an upcoming trip, please. We have a trip planned for next March in a 2BR villa at SSR. We are going with another family. DVC policy is that the 2BRs accomodate up to eight Guests plus one child under the age of 3 in a portable crib. Because of new arrivals they will be expecting we will now have at total of 10 people, but 3 of them will be under the age of 3. Besides obviously being crazy for traveling with this many young kids  my question is, would you suggest we:
1. Go ahead as planned and hope we don't get caught :rolleyes1
2. Modify the ressies and use additional points to get the 3BR :sad2:
3. Tell the other family they can no longer go :guilty:
4. Ask DVC if it is ok based on the ages of the children? :confused3

With the young ages of the kids they will not have ticket media, so I think it would be hard for the big brother eye of the Mouse to catch us, but I don't feel comfortable with even that small level of dishonesty.

Any advice is not only welcome, but would be greatly appreciated.

So I just want to be clear: you have 7 people that Disney counts (over 3) and 3 people that Disney does not count (under 3.)

While I would definitely suggest asking DVC Member Services and being honest about who is in the room, I suspect you will be fine. I made a guest reservation at SSR for 8 adults and 2 children under 3 in a two bedroom and it was no problem. The toddlers were twins and it wasn't like they were going to say one could come, but the other needed to stay home!

I vote for honesty and I bet you will get the DVC seal of approval!

I think you are nuts to put 10 people in a 2 bedroom - especially if 3 of them are under 3. The units just aren't big enough for that (IMHO) and you will be on top of each other.

Instead of the 3 bedroom, why not just add another studio?

FWIW, both families might occasionally need a little "quiet time" away from each other. JMHO. YMMV.

Exactly what I was going to write.

The only place I would even attempt this would be at OKW with the larger space. The living room area at SSR would be too cramped. I would need the huge living space that the 2BRs at OKW have. Even at that, you would need to be in one of the buildings number 30 and above so that you have access to a bathroom from the living area.

I suggest getting an additional studio if possible. You will need some time apart, and your 2BR could always be the gathering place!
