Need to vent about special diets...

Sorry just needed to vent. I just received an email from two of the places we have ADR's during our upcoming trip, one in which I cancelled already. One of the emails included the the email special diets sent them and an allergy form. They gave them the wrong phone number to contact me and when they copied my allergy form to the new form they are using, they left off most of his allergies!! Am I the only one this has happened to? I have already sent an another letter to special diets and to the email addresses that were listed on the email that they sent out. I know I will have a great trip, but just stressed about this now. I am very thankful that Boma included the email they were sent from special diets, or I wouldn't have known that they didn't have his full list of allergies.

It's good that you caught that. To be honest I might have just glanced at the email and been like " Oh good they got it" and gone on about my day. Thanks for the heads up to double check. I hope they will get it all worked out before your trip.

Wow, that's not good. No, that's not the experience I've been having with our latest trip. This trip, I decided to not fill out the form ahead of time and instead I asked them for the latest form to fill out and returned that. I'm glad I did after hearing this experience. I was surprised at the changes to the form and I'm also surprised to hear that they transferred your data over rather than forwarding on the older form you filled out. That just seems risky. Wow.

So far I've been contacted by almost all of the restaurants where we have ADRs. The only ones I haven't heard from are the ones where I sent specific questions and have specific concerns. Sigh.....

The chefs I have heard from received my exact email with completed form as I typed it. I know this based on comments they made about things I wrote.

In the past, I have found that if I make changes to ADRs after the initial send to Special Diets, SD does not forward these changes to any restaurants or chefs even when I notifiy SD about the changes.

Have I mentioned how much I miss Brenda?

Ok, I just got off the phone with special diets. It should be all worked out now. Sorry, I just needed to vent. I wanted to make sure we had it all worked out before we leave for our trip.
