We booked a stay thru Disney staying at Cornonado. I can't remember if I need to call Coronado to put in room request or Disability. DS is very set in routines and likes everything the same. It is just easier to request it then him to have melt downs the whole trip and be stressed about it. Thanks :goodvibes

1. You cannot request a specific room by number.

2. Special Reservations only handles accessible rooms; those that require a raised toilet with grab bars, and either a tub with grab bars or a roll-in shower. And the room may be located anywhere within the resort for that category room.

3. About the only request you can have added to the reservation is whether or not you want first floor, or a specific building. And these are considered requests, not requirements.

The sticky at the top of the disabilities forum has a special number to call to discuss your needs.

What exactly do you mean he needs everything the same? Do you mean the same room as last time, or the room to be exactly the same so "don't touch anything" for housekeeping, or .... ?

You may be unable to get that specific for him. I know my son can't take a regular room without a living area or he gets completely stressed. But he has done fine with different resorts, or different locations in the same resort. Is this your first trip or have you stayed there before so he has specific expectations?

Maybe we can try and help if you could give us more of an explanation of his needs and what will cause the meltdowns.

Good luck!

Not the exact room just at Casitas and we have to ride the elevator to at least the 3rd or 4th floor. It is more a elevator and location issue for him. I called the Special request line and they noted it on our ressie for me. Of course I'm sure he remembers the room # from last time but that shouldn't cause a meltdown at least in the past as long as we get that section and upper floor he has been fine the time they had us on the first floor was not good we had to request a change after 2 days because of the meltdowns he wasn't enjoying the trip and we weren't either once we were moved it was wonderful  We always stay at the Coronado or Contemporary we have to stay in the upper Garden Wing there.
