Need to pick somewhere to stay for December...

We are under 100 days away from our next trip and I still have not booked anything because I cannot decide! We stayed offsite for the first time in May in a condo at Windsor Hills and loved it. We will be there for 9 nights in December and had planned to do the same thing but part of me wants to try something different. I looked into Bonnet Creek because I would love to have a lazy river, but it was significantly more per night than a condo at Windsor Hills. What other places should I check out that meets our requirements - at least 2 bedroom/2 bathroom, washer/dryer, kitchen, zero entry pool, playground, easy drive to the parks (would hate to have to deal with I-4) Would love to have a water slide, lazy river. Hoping it will be warm enough to swim during the day as we have a lot of down time planned.

What about the Nickelodeon Suites?? doesn't have a lazy river or washer/dryer but has all the other options you talked about. Trying to think of what other ones have all those things.. Also the Flamingo Waterpark Resort maybe?

Just FYI, at the Nick Hotel the pools are heated, but the water coming out of the pipes for the slide is not. It is COLD. My kids would not get near it. That cold water gets dumped into the zero entry pool area. So if you want heated water you have to stay on the opposite side of the pool. From what I understand, all slides and play area are this way. Heated pool, cold water from pipes.

Wow cold water will not work in December so that's out.

I think bonnet creek would be the best option but I cannot do it unfortunately since we need Wednesday to Wednesday not Saturday to Saturday.

Looks like Windsor hills condo again. Not disappointed it was great in May. It's the easiest/cheapest option. I like knowing I can get in the room at 1 on arrival day instead of 4 :)

You can check in any day of the week at Bonnett Creek. We currently have reservations checking in on a Thursday and out on a Monday. We are paying $1500 for 11 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. It is split under 3 reservations, but definitely doable =)

We have a condo (2 bedroom, 2 bath) at Orange Lake. Our Florida trips are between 9 and 11 days long. We usually stay a week at the condo and then do 2-4 nights at one of the Disney value resorts. Best of both worlds!

Also check out Oakwater Resort - it's actually a little closer than Windsor Hills (on the same road, though) It does NOT have the Lazy river or water slide, but does have a nice zero entry pool, great hot tub, tennis courts, workout room, walking path, etc. It's a smaller resort. so most are close walks to the pool and clubhouse. When we've been there, the pool is usually not very crowded. It has more 3BR units then 2BR units and the pricing is about the same, so check them all out. We own a 3BR unit there and love it.

If you can find a rental at WBC that meets your needs and fits your budget, definitely give WBC a try. We finally did after years of staying at WH and we won't go back to WH if we can help it. WBC is so much nicer than WH amenity-wise. WBC has a more resort-like feel than WH. It cost us about $150 more per week than WH but we feel it's definitely worth it. :thumbsup2
