I rarely use paper checks, and need to order some new ones. I was sort of suffering from sticker shock at how much the bank charges for a book of checks. Where do you order yours? I need a safe site to order checks.
I bought them last year from a "check" company - one that was advertised in the sunday coupon section. Someone at the factory stole my info. (account # and routing #) and printed their own. Drained my checking account.
My banks advise - ONLY BY CHECKS FROM YOUR BANK.
It may cost a little more but in the end it could save you a ton.
Great, my b ank refers me to another website "Harland" to buy checks and there is a "we are not responsible for accoutn security" disclosure. So I guess I just need to pick one.
Nikimomof3- Which company specifically did you have your info stolen from?

Checks from the bank also come from a factory.
does anyone ever just ask the bank for those free "counter" checks where you have to write in the information? I was wondering if those were okay to pay bills, etc.
