Ok, here's the thing. I need to make a decision for our upcoming trip - Crystal Palace or Trail's End Buffet?

We had originally gone with Trail's End b/c it is cheaper and we are on a budget. But we want to have a GREAT buffet and don't want to be disappointed. I remember the food was good at CP, but that was 5+ years ago. We don't care about the characters (2 full-grown adults), so is it worth spending $10 more per person for CP?

Opinions? Thoughts? Need to make a decision and soon! Thanks!

It depends on how you like to do breakfast. TE is good, but just regular breakfast food. CP is like going to a more upscale rest. Many more choices. If I were going to spent the 10$ difference, I would go to 1900 PF. We think this is the best of all the buffet breakfast's. And although I'm a HUGE Pooh fan(you can find classic pooh in almost every room of my house) The Characters are better at 1900. Ones you won't see in the park. And lets face it, even us adults traveling without little ones love these guys. Got great pictures of DH with Mary Poppins. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I should have been more specific - sorry guys!

We are looking for a DINNER buffet that is great! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I think the same still applies. If you need budget, the Trails end is good. But 1900 Park Fair is great. I have not had dinner at CP, only breakfast. Have you thought about the all you can eat skillet at the Wispering Canyon? We loved this also, and some fun wait staff. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I wish we had gone to TE instead of CP but I think it just depends on what your tastes are. We found CP to be a little too upscale for our tastes. The ambiance was nice, but we just didn't care for the food. If it was me, I would opt for TE.

Having eaten at both TEB & CP, yes TEB is a good value but the food selections are limited. CP has a great variety and everything is excellent. It is a surprisingly very good buffet. A few years back I wasn't so impressed but we tried it again last October because of all the rave reveiws it received here. It's become a "must do" whenever we got to MK, it's definitely replaced our CRT meal...much better...by far!!

1900 Park Fare or Liberty Tree Tavern are both better (IMHO) than CP. Trail's End is cheaper....so that's one of those "only you can decide." SO....if I were going to spend the extra $, it wouldn't be at CP.

Please keep in mind what a pain it can be to get to Trail's End. If you take the boat you end up closest. Otherwise you are relying on the internal bus system of Ft. Wilderness. We stayed there last year and it was a pain to get around. That being said, the buffet was great. I'd stick with CP though. Gotta love Pooh! pooh:

I think it would really depend on what you like to eat. Trails End is good food but it is limited on what to choose from. Crystal Palace is more upscale and to me has more variety than Trail's End. I think of Trails End like going to a BBQ cookout and Crystal Palace more of a upscale restaurant buffet with lots of things to eat I don't know how to cook at home. :rotfl:
(hope that makes sense)

Either two are good choices...good luck deciding!!
