Hi everyone!

I need to know which restaurants require a credit card to make a reservation. I know that there are some that you don't need anything, some that you need a credit card to make the ressie for cancellation purposes, and some that you need a credit card to put the whole ressie one ahead of time. If anyone knows these, please let me know. Also do you need to have the credit card that you used to make the ressie present at the time that you check in at the restaurant????

Thanks soo much guys!:goodvibes

I think the ones that require 2TS meals require a cc. They don't charge it unless you don't show.

I had to use a CC for Hoop Dee Doo.

Thank you for answering so quickly! :goodvibes That does sound right. I thought I heard that you had to pay in full for The Dinner Shows and Cinderella's Royal Table while making your ressie.

Also I still need to know if you need the credit card that you used to make the ressie with you when you go.

if you are not on the dining plan you will pay in full for cindys table. i think the others just take the card incase you dont show.

oh and i would bring the card, but if you are paying cash or with the dining plan there should be bo reason they need it.

when we booked in Feb 2008 for May 2008, we were on the DDP & booking two 2TS restaurants during our stay...Cali Grille & the Castle (CRT)

The CM asked if we were paying OOP for one of them (we were) She recommended paying OOP for CRT, since we'd get more value on the dining plan at Cali Grille (higher cost if paid OOP)

So, we booked Cali Grille as a DDP meal (they took credit card number to hold it) but they actually billed our credit card in February 2008 for the full cost of 4 adults at CRT in May 2008. We were told they always charge for CRT and the dinner shows in advance. If you cancel with the required notice, they will credit your charge card.

Not all of the 2 TS meals require a credit card guarantee.

CRT and the dinner shows (HDD, Spirit of Aloha and Mickey's BBQ) require full payment at time of booking. If you are on the dining plan they'll take your credit card number as a guarantee and if you don't show up, you'll be charged a no show fee (at least I think it is a no-show fee and not the full price)

Akershus (which is a 1 TS), California Grill and Victoria & Alberts (which is not on the dining plan at all) require a credit card to hold the reservation.

Seems they took a CC to hold our Fantasmic reservation as well. We were on the DP. I believe we had 48hrs to cancel or we would be charged an amount as a no show.

Yes, Fantasmic dinner package also. But only the dinner package - not a regular reservation at those restaurants.
