Hi everyone. I wonder if you can help me.

Right, so I've got quite a few ADR's I want to book, but after looking at the prices it's going to cost way too much!

I need to get rid of a few, to knock about £200 off if possible! (They all add up to about £500!)

* Crystal Palace (CM) (around $45)
* Coral Reef dinner (around $40)
* Dine with Shamu (around $60)
* Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (CM) (around $41) at Grand Floridian
* Dinner at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge (around $53)
* Dinner at Whispering Canyon (around $40) at Wilderness Lodge
* Breakfast at Donald's breakfast Safari in AK (CM) (around $41)
* Animal Kingdom for dinner at Rainforest Cafe (around $45)
* Pirates dinner adventure (PAID)
* Late lunch at Mythos (around $45)
* Dinner at T-Rex cafe (around $50)
* 'Ohana's Breakfast (CM) (around $41) at the Polynesian Resort
* Arabian Nights dinner (PAID)
* Dinner at Mama Melrose (around $40) at Hollywood Studios
* Character breakfast at THE Castle! Cinderella's Royal Table (around $80)
* Garden Grill (CM) (around $60) at Epcot
* Chef Mickeys for breakfast (CM) (around $41)

I have to keep CRT, dine with Shamu, and Coral reef for the fish. Has anyone got any bad reviews about the rest, or any cheaper alternatives?

I don't want to be looking for character spots all day in the parks, so would rather keep the character breakfasts/dinners, but I know there are a couple with the same characters, so could miss them. I'm going off the idea of Chef Mickeys, so can get rid of that one.

Any one got any ideas?

What would you get rid of?

TIA!

out of all those the one i would get rid of is Mama Melrose, we tried it this year and weren't very impressed. the food wasnt anything amazing, and it could be a resturant on the i drive it isnt really very disney. i'd skip it

also i have never been but havnt heard such great things about Garden Grill

as well as rainforest cafe, there everywhere you dont need to go to disney to dine there.

it hard to chose which ones to take off your list there all GOOD!

How many days are you looking at? I see you have a breakfast at AK and then dinner - depending on the times you have book you might not be super hungry.

Then again you could always do lunch at a sit down restaurant rather than dinner - most have the same menu but a little cheaper. A small breakfast, big lunch and small dinner.

Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular character restaurants so instead of cancelling see if anyone wants it here on the boards :rolleyes1

I would get rid of 1900 PF, we did it once and not only was the food terrible but the place is so loud and crazy that I got an instant migraine!

I would eliminate Garden Grill because I do not like the menu

I would pick one, T-Rex or Rainforest....they are both similar in menus but have a different theme.....I wouldnt go to both

I hated the Garden Grill, and I would eliminate 1900 Park Fair as well.

Ok, if I get rid of Garden Grill, Rainforest, Chef Mickey and 1900, and Mama Melrose how does that sound? That would knock about $227 off.

I've not booked yet, these are what I planned to book lol. Otherwise you could have had it! :D

I would pick either Rainforest Cafe or T-REX. I have been to the T-Rex in Kansas City and multiple Rainforest Cafes. If your son is into Dinosaur's I would go with T-Rex. Even if you are not that into dinosaur's, the T-rex in kansas city has a neat aquarium room (I assume Disney's will be similar).

I would eliminate Garden Grill as well. It has many of the same character's as Chef Mickey's and the food is not the best

Get rid of Mama Melrose and the Garden Grill. I didn't like either although Mama Melrsoe had an awesome cheesecake!

From your list I would drop:

Mythos. I have eaten here and the food is medicore, IMO, and it is noisy. Instead, I would investigate what is open for lunch on the CityWalk. It is right there at IOA.

Rainforest Cafe. It's a chain, you can eat there anytime, the food is mediocre, and it is noisy (sensing a theme?)

You have a lot of breakfasts booked. Are you sure you are going to want to eat so many heavy breakfasts? Maybe eliminate one of those.

Good luck!

Change CP to lunch to save a few bucks. Are you traveling with children? You have a lot of character meals planned. Remember Lunches are cheaper than Dinners you may want to try and move some to a late lunch instead. Boma Breakfast is cheaper than dinner. How many days are you going. That is a lot of TS planned. We try to limit TS to once a day.

Yes, have two children and it's their first trip. :D

I'm going for a fortnight, so I think I've got around one a day.

How about this?

* Coral Reef dinner (around $40)
* Dine with Shamu (around $60)
* Breakfast at Donald's breakfast Safari in AK (CM) (around $41)
* Pirates dinner adventure (PAID)
* Late lunch at Mythos (around $45)
* Dinner at T-Rex cafe (around $50)
* 'Ohana's Breakfast (CM) (around $41) at the Polynesian Resort
* Arabian Nights dinner (PAID)
* Character breakfast at THE Castle! Cinderella's Royal Table (around $80)
* Chef Mickeys for breakfast (CM) (around $41)

I would get rid of Garden Grill and then select either RFC or T-Rex (not both) as others have stated. RFC and T-Rex have the same owners and similar food. Also, the breakfast at 1900 PF isn't that great. I would skip it! Just my opinion...
