My best friend who is the mother of 4 along with her hubby are looking to go to Disney during Star Wars weekend in May. Last year she stayed at All Star Music Suites and found it nice this year she wants to stay at a villa to have a little bigger area. Her children range in age from 1-10. That said does anybody have any recommendations for a resort offsite that has villas. She really would like a two bedroom, with a great pool and close to Disney. Thanks for all the help that anyone can offer.;)

There are many villas offsite. Many of them have far more Disney stuff in them than the Disney rooms do. They're bigger. Many are cleaner. Pools are less crowded - some have a pool just for you. And they're MUCH cheaper than a deluxe room.

But you won't find a lot of info on the "Disney Resorts" section of the DIS. Scroll two sections down on the main board to "Orlando Hotels and Attractions" and you'll find more info. :)

I stayed in the Dreams Villas one that you can book through the DIS. It was big, well equipped and clean. Decent pool and never anyone there (but it closed at night.) I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the advice. I am still pretty new here and don't know where to post everything, but am learning :)Will look into it.

There are many. We stayed at some several years ago in Kissimmee which was a very short drive to parks, 10-15 minutes. We had a 3 bedroom villa, with two bathrooms, a lovely kitchen and family room with vaulted ceilings. Grounds were nice, furnishing was very nice, and it was very inexpensive. You will find info here:

goodluck!

I'll move this over to the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board for you. :)

Your friend needs to look for a 3 bedroom villa if she has 4 children. Florida occupancy laws allow for a maximum of 2 people per bedroom (plus 1 infant). But even with the 1 yr-old sharing the master bedroom, she'd have a hard time finding a bedroom that sleeps 3 (unless the owner has disregarded complying with law - not a good sign anyways).

3 bedrooms are very reasonable in price anyways, she shouldn't have a problem finding a good deal. Try the townhomes in Emerald Island Resort, just a few minutes away from Animal Kingdom.

The Hilton Grand Vacation Club on International Drive has 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas. The 2 bedroom has a maximum occupancy of 6 with a king in each bedroom and a queen size sleeper sofa. It is about 2.5 miles from the Disney property. The 2 bedroom villa/suite has a full size kitchen and W/D in the suite. The hotel is across the street from Publix - so you can fill the fridge and save some $$. And they have a beautiful pool and a playground area for the little kids. I've stayed there several times, so feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

There are many good places our there w/ 2 bedroom that sleep 6. Before I booked my townhome I found plenty of 2 bdroom condos that sleep 6 at Windsor Hills. The pull-out sofa in the living room would be where 5 and 6 sleep:goodvibes. You can check windsorhillsrent.com (hope I'm allowed to post that). Do an inquiry and sort through the condos. I actually booked through a place called vacationcentralflorida.com (again, hope I'm allowed to post that) and their prices were very reasonable. Good luck in wherever you stay! Have fun!
