need to cancel MVMCP ??'s

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this on. If not please direct to the appropriate place.

About a week ago I called and purchased 2 tickets to Mickey's Christmas Party on November 30th. My husband just called and said that the dates we had chosen to go to WDW aren't going to work. He needs to report for some training during the time we were going to be at WDW. :sad1:

That leads me to my question. Are the tickets to the Christmas party nonrefundable or will we be able to get a refund? If we can't get a refund does anyone have any suggestions as to what we could do with the tickets.

I am sooo disappointed. I have been planning this for months. We have reservations, tickets, ADRs. It was going to be my first trip to WDW in almost 12 years and first trip with DD, who is 2. Maybe we can reschedule the trip, but it has to coordinate with a move from Texas to Florida and this change in my husbands work schedule and another move from Florida to Maine 2 months later so I'm not sure we will be able to squeeze it in and now we might be out $80 for the MVMCP tickets. Sigh....
 
Awww that's too bad! :guilty:

The tickets are non refundable.I would try selling them on Ebay.
 
I read a post here by someone once who said that after they purchased their tickets they had a problem and couldn't go on the day they had purchased. They called Disney and explained what was going on and Disney allowed them to exchange the tickets for a different day. It can't hurt to call them and see if they'll work with you.
 

I've posted this before. DH is military and had a change in his orders. I called the number on the letter that came with the MVMCP last year and they gave me a full refund. (I did have to mail the tickets in first.) My cc was refunded before I got the green certified mail postcard back. HTH.
 
My husband is in the military and his orders were changed, so I took Princess Party's suggestion and called to see if they would give us a refund. They did without any trouble.

I was just about to say that sometimes they will work with you!

We were down for a visit a few years ago, and after our first night there DS came down with the flu.

He wound up in Celebration hospital, so of course we couldn't use our Christmas Party tickets. They gave us a full refund..didn't even have to ask.
They were so nice about it!

Glad it worked out for you!
 
I was able to exchange my MNSSHP but that might have been different circumstances......we were at the park earlier than anticipated because of a hurricane evacuating our home. Since the weather was going to be bad on the night of our party the park ticket window changed it for the another night.

Since it is so early I would call Dis and see if they can help you out
