need tips

Going to have a Memories wedding the 1st week of November and need some ideas on dining locations/restaurants....its just a party of 4.
Can they make a small wedding cake (other than the mini ) that will serve 4 -6 slices? Will they box up the remaining or a top layer?
Any tips for getting the most out of our wedding & bang for the buck....Little overwhelmed with getting married & selling my condo & decorating our new place & now being a step-mom ( 9 & 4 yr old ) .
