Hi!

It has been a very long time since I have been to Disney with more than 3 people. The last time I was there with a large group was in 1994. I am hoping for some touring tips from those of you that have gone recently with a large group. Because this planning is making me crazy

I usually tour 2 parks a day. Morning and Evening with a break in between and a sit down meal a day.

Will my current touring work it applied to the group :confused3 ???

There will be 5 adults and 3 children(7-14 years old). Most of the group has never been.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. We are going for week in early December and staying at OKW.

Thanks for your help!!

Wow. Do you all intend to stay together all the time? That can be a problem in many ways.

It's a great idea for everyone to have at least a vague plan of what they want to do and see in each park.

You can pick meeting places, or do a couple of things together in each park, and then meet for the noon meal.

ADRs for eight shouldn't be that big of a problem. It's essentially two tables of four, right?

I've been on vacation with eight (and more) in a group and it really did become necessary for some of the group members to go their own way if only for a little while.

Have fun!

wow! have fun! go here http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/experience/experienceLanding?id=MagicalGatheringsExperiencePage
this should help.
here are some tips
1 do not be a hard core dictator w/ your group.
2 your plan to me sounds fine to me.
3 make sure most people agree w. decisions for everything but dining. they will never know if they like it if they don't try it!
4 actually READ the stuff on the link i put up.
5 if the children will not ride some rides do child swap!
6 have fun!!
p.s. i love okw

Everytime we go we automatically have 7 in our party!!! :)

We went last year with my family...16 of us. My suggestion would be to have everyone get the free DVD to watch, some guidebooks, and park schedules (for parade and fireworks times). Have each family make a list of MUST DOs, take-it-or-leave-its, and not interested. Compile the lists and then decide which park to go to on which day. From there just meet up at certain times: lunch, parades, a fastpass time, etc. The kids are great ages to really enjoy planning. Our family got together almost every Friday for a few months to watch movies and plan. We had a blast and did everything we wanted to do and met up for key moments. Don't forget to get some group photos!!

That is my high-maintenance plan. My other would be similar to our trip a few weeks ago. We'd get up, eat breakfast, decide what to do, ask SIL where they were going, say "We'll see you at such and such", and go.

Last time I went it was with 10. I wanted to do 1 thing thing a day together as a group be it early park tour then split, meal or hang at the resort. But my dad wanted us to stay together. My way would have been better ;)
