We have ressies for T Rex on the day we are planning to spend a good deal of time in DTD. The problem is there are so many good CS restaurants there and I don't really want to spend a lot of money eating OOP at T Rex when I can go to Wolf Gang Puck XP and eat for free (FDP) *yummy* So I was thinkin we could just go to T Rex and maybe get a few appetizers and dessert, or share a sandwich or two. That way we get to see the place, yet we don't have to spend a ton of money. Do you think they will not like us doing this or don't they care what you order? i don't want to go in and take up a table just for appies and desserts if they will look down on this....Honestly I think I should be able to order what I want, but we all know there are some dos and donts in disney adn I dont want to do any donts!!! LOL

I don't think they would mind at all! What you order is your business! I used to work at a Rainforest Cafe in Philly when it was still open. We would have people who would just get apps and drinks while waiting for a movie, or come in for dessert afterwards. It will be fine whatever you decide!

I was thinking the same thing about the CS places there. Now thinking about changing around a few things to try out some! Hope you have a great trip!

Go in and order what you want. They don't have a problem with sharing. Their portions are about the equivalent of 4 servings each.

But, a couple apps, sandwiches and desserts is a LOT of food.
The servings there are big even by Disney standards.

We just went in july. 3 adults. (2 men and me)
We got an entree salad, the app. chicken flatbread thing (delicious), and the boneyard BBQ entree. We shared things and couldn't finish it all. Big pile of waffle fries left behind.
That was all we ate all day.

I would go split a flat bread or two and maybe a dessert. You might be able to have another meal later then. Don't worry you will still shell out about $50 bucks, but we thought everything was very good.

btw, you can go in and just look around the store and you will get to see the place pretty good...or order a smoothie drink at the bar under the big octopus (his eyes move )

The food portions are so huge at T-Rex that we always share and it is never a problem. Just be aware that the portions are so large. Sharing a sandwich may not give you the small meal you're expecting. I share a sandwich with my teenage son and it's enough for both of us...and he can eat!
