Does it get cool enough in the evening in June to need a sweatshirt or windbreaker? I am packing for our trip in 2 weeks and don't want to have to buy one down there. thanks.

Highly unlikely for the weather. However, some buildings' a/c may require a sweatshirt- really!

I doubt you will need a sweatshirt it is sooo hot here in FL right now, but like nessz79 stated sometimes the AC at the restaurants is very cold so you may want to bring a sweater that you can remove as soon as you get back outside. Have a great trip. (I will be there in June also and will pack a light sweater for eveyone)

PMart

well right now in may it is reaching 90s which we dont usualy see till around August so i wouldnt think so you usualy wont need one till november. make sure you get trip insurance because it is the start of hurricane season.. also think ponchos ... and sunscreen :)

We went in June for our honeymoon 5 years ago, and it was so hot and humid it was almost unbearable! The only time I was absolutly freezing was when we were on a ride... I can't remember which one it was, but there were ghosts dancing all over the place... and it got stuck for about 10 minutes, and we were directly under the AC - I was so happy when the ride finaly started again and we got to go outside in the heat!

You will definitely NOT need any type of sweatshirt for June unless you plan to use it inside for the AC.

We always pack a sweatshirt & windbreaker just in case. The AC is cranked in some places & if you get caught in a downpour then head into AC it's even worse.

No. A windbreaker is more useful to wear if you get chilled, since it doubles as a rain jacket. Outdoors you are most likely to be chilly first thing in the morning when it is still really damp out, rather than at night.

You won't need it, except possibly for inside, as others have mentioned.

One of the strangest things for me when I moved south was to get used to the fact that it doesn't cool down at night the same way that it did "up north".

My two youngest sons are always cold in resturants. So even when we go to Disney in August I always bring a sweatshirt or light jacket for them.

no way! way 2 hot  yay hot!

:woohoo: mom  me only 29 more days till our trip!

I posted earlier about the resturants, but I also remembered that when we swam at the hotel pools later in the evening, again in August, I brought their jackets with me because they got chilly after swimming.

Maybe my kids are just unusual, but they do get cold at WDW in August in the evenings.

You could always use it as a towel to soak up the puddles of sweat you'll be producing. ;)

We always go in June, and never need more than shorts and t's. It is very hot.

June is hot and muggy. When we went last year, there was a thunderstorm every afternoon which made it even muggier. Rain gear is good idea.

Thanks for all the replies. I will not be taking sweatshirts, just raincoats  We usually go in January, so I hadn't really thought about the June heat :rotfl2:
