Upcoming trip(4th in 3 years)want to try a few new dining spots, and maybe revisit a few favorites. Opinions please? New(for us): Character dinner at liberty tree tavern, Bistro De Paris,Princess tea party at Gf, Sci-fi. Also need recommendation for DD for early dinner prior to Circ' at 6 pm. Revisits?: Rainforest cafe(3 years ago);O'hana(2 years ago); Also, we have tried the following high end restraunts prior and have liked them all to some extent(in this order)-Citricos, CG, Jiko, Narcoosee, V&A,Brown Derby and coral reef. What would you guys love to do again or am I missing something? Thanks!

We've done LTT three times now and it's pretty good, Thanksgiving like food, but it's not like real homemade Thanksgiving food..if you get my drift. Good enough though. Characters are great there. Service has always been good.

I'm not attracted to any of the DTD restaurants for some reason, with the exception of Wolfgangs upstairs a little. We generally eat a late dinner when we do Cirque at 6, that way there's no rush and worrying about getting there on time.

Love CG, BD. The rest I haven't tried yet. Planing on trying Jiko next trip though. Yachtman's Steakhouse is wonderful if you haven't tried that one yet. It's actually my father's favorite. Le Cellier is good too. My problem is that none of my group likes seafood much, and I love it. I think I need to ditch them and go solo sometime!

We really liked Wolfgang Puck's Downstairs. Great meal. :)

If you do a search for Sci Fi on these boards, you'll find a lot of reviews that you may find helpful. Generally speaking, people tend to really like the ambience, but the food gets moderate to awful reviews - except the desserts seem to be fairly favorable. Seems like if you can stop by for dessert or truly want to savor some cool ambience, it might be a fun way to pass some time, but if you want something more than burgers and fries, other MGM restaurants can better serve that purpose. Personally, Sci Fi is one of our "must do"s - we really love the drive-in ambience; the food has never been awful for us, but it has never been unforgettable, but we're very happy to go every time. We've eaten at LTT, but not for the character meals. We thought it was really good food! We went for Christmas, so it was beautifully decorated, too.

Our other favorites are BOMA and then maybe Coral Reef, we love the aquarium. We love Rainforest, sort of continues some cool theming, even though it's not Disney theming.

Sci-Fi will be a won't do it again except for dessert because DS loved the cars. Food was definitely nothing to write home about.

RC - Loved this one, we will return!

FW - Think its called Trail's End Buffet - This was a great priced, decent tasting food buffet. Nothing fancy but for about $10 a person it was a wonderful value.

Chef Mickey's - Great charater breakfast. Food was okay, but the character were wonderful. Heard the breakfast is much better than the dinner.

Haven't tried the others on your list but the LTT get's great reviews.

LTT has a good dinner, Prime Time 50's in MGM has a great pot roast dinner, all the servers are you cousins and mom and dad are in the kitchen cooking.... a really fun time for a meal. My other favorite is Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for breakfast, chip and dale are always teasing, the servers are always going above and beyond. I have a few favorite servers there Sami, Rhonda or Dottie, they all have many years in the company and their service experience shows thru.

Have you tried any of the restaurants on the Boardwalk? Our favorite is Spoodle's. Flying Fish is very good, also. Big River Grille makes a good burger, but you will get mixed reviews on it.

Across the lake at the Yacht Club is another of our favorites, the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We eat there every trip and always enjoy it.

Over at AKL are Boma and Jiko which are both wonderful. Boma is a buffet, while Jiko is a fancier sit down meal.

Have fun narrowing it down!:sunny:
