Need suggestions for video camera

I am in the market for a new video camera and thought I would go straight to those I trust the most! The DIS boarders! What Do you think? HD, DVD or Hybrid? What Company? What do I definatly want and what is not so important? Give me all you want so I can make the best choice! Thnaks for your help!!

There are dozens of video cameras for sale and many of them are great choices. You need to say more about your constraints and desires before an appropriate recommendation can be made. There are lots of trade-offs. Do you prefer smaller size or more features? Do you want ease of use or lots of control? Are you looking to spend $100, $1,000, or $10,000? Do you want to use tapes, memory cards, DVDs, or do everything on hard drives? Do you plan to edit your videos or show them as is? Do you want to shoot in high definition or standard definition? Wide screen or the old style? How important is low light shooting?
