We are a family of 4 (two boys ages 4 and 7), we are not picky eaters, but appreciate good, tasty food. We are staying for 12 days and are interested in dinner meals (maybe 1 breakfast). I really only want to use 1 table service credit per meal. We are also not big fish eaters. Like almost anything else.

You don't say where you are staying, but Boma might be fun for your crowd because it's an interesting variety.

Your options are endless with kid who aren't picky. I'd let them see some of the options, especially the international ones in Epcot, and maybe they can help choose which one to try. Just tell them it's a thank you for being so easy to get along with! :goodvibes

Boma is a very good choice!!

I would also consider (in no particular order):

Ohana
Kona
Coral Reef
50's Prime Time Cafe

All one credit meals and all great meals !!!! IMHO

Our family is pretty close to yours (DS 3 and DS6). My kids are relatively picky eaters. I agree with Boma. Although it is personally not my favorite, it is a family favorite, as there is such a variety that everyone seems to enjoy it.

You can do Le Celier (Lunch is one-credit still... I think)
We liked La Hacienda Del Sol
Garden Grill is our favorite Character meal, Crystal Palace is good too.
Liberty Tree is something we always seem to go back to
We are going to try Tutto in May, but the reviews seem to be pretty good

Just to add to the ones already mentioned:
Crystal Palace
LTT
Mama Melrose
Teppan Edo
San Angel
Les Chefs de France

Cape May Clambake(kids can draw on paperlined tablecloths)

LeCellier ( my kids love the pretzel bread they serve, filet and their burgers( Lunch is only 1 ts, dinner is 2).

Tusker House ( great breakfast)

Boma (good varety)

Biergarten (fun atmosphere)

Trex( good food, great atmoshpere for kids, dinosaurs)

Rainforest( same theory as trex just jungle themed)

It really depends what you're looking for -Disney runs the gamut when it comes to dining and "tasty" could mean a lot depending who you are ..if you know what I mean. One good thing is that most kids meals(I'm assuming that's what your children will eat at most meals), are roughly the same price regardless of where you eat. So you could bring them to California Grill or Artist Point and you won't be "over-spending" on food they don't care for.

Like others have mentioned, BOMA is a good choice if you want a buffet. Based on the ages, I would say Whispering Canyon would be fun -the food is pretty good(not great), but the entertainment value makes up for anything that food might lack. How about Beaches and Cream for an "Old-Fashioned" soda fountain experience -the burgers aren't half-bad either.

Chefs de France
Teppan Edo
Le Cellier (lunch is 1 credit)
Kona Cafe
Tusker House (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Ohana

Not sure about which are 1 credit but

Boma is a good choice we take visitors from up north there all the time and even the picky eaters are happy. After dinner, if it is dark you can go to the area that overlooks the Savanah and use the night vision goggles to see the animals very cool and free.

Le Cellier is very good, it is a small place so reservations are a must.

Crystal Palace at MK has a nice character buffet as does 1900 Park Fair.

The Kona Cafe is also a great place to eat.

Prime Times 50s cafe, but don't have your elbows on the table. : )

1900 Park Fair character buffet

My boys were 3 and 7 last year when we went. The character meals are definitely a big hit with them. I would highly recommend The Crystal Palace, although we were a bit disappointed with our service last time, the food is good and you cannot beat the atmosphere. Pooh and his friends are there, and they do a parade where the kids can get up and dance. Also there is something magical about eating in MK.

My boys also love Chef Mickey's. We've only done breakfast. My husband and I feel the food isn't as good as other places, but it is a good place to see the characters.

I love BOMA as a lot of people have recommended. We went on our first trip with the boys (they were 1 and 5), and it wasn't a super "fun" one for them, but I loved the food and we will be returning next summer.

Garden Grill is another character meal with good quality food. The room turns slowly, but you hardly notice. Chip and Dale, Mickey, and one other character that I cannot recall are there.

Ohana at the Polynesian is excellent and very fun for the kids.

Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge is very fun for kids. I was not as crazy about the food, but I loved the bottomless milkshakes.

My husband and my children love Biergarten and want to go every year. The boys love the entertainment and my husband loves the food.

Le chefs is excellent, and if you time it right you will see Remy.

There are other restaurants that we are looking forward to going to this year, but I don't want to recommend them until I have tried them myself.

let us know where you go!:wizard:

Kona Cafe at the Poly has great food and is in a great location. Reasonably (well relatively) priced as well.

Ohana(dinner)
Biergarten
Boma
Kona
50s PTC
These are faves of ours that I would say flavors are spot on

Due to my DS - now - 19's insistence....

TEPPAN EDO

Is a Family Tradition... We HAVE to go to Teppan Edo... every time we go...

Knives, Fire, Asian... a Boys dream... DS and I have probably been to Teppan Edo (formerly Teppanyaki) 10-12 times....
Plus DS even loves to shop downstairs... they have a lot of pokemon, yugioh, swords, origami, etc....

And they enjoy the drum show in Japan... as well....

Have a magical visit !

TEPPAN EDO

I didn't understand the love for Teppan Edo until I realized that not all areas have their own hibachi restaurant. We have access to many Japanese steakhouses at home, so don't see a need to visit one at Disney. However, if you don't have one near your home, I would agree this is a really unique and fun place with yummy food.
