DD will be 4 in May and I want to start getting things together. I know that May is a few months away, but I'm pregnant, and who knows how I'll be feeling by then.

She loves everything about Disney---the princesses, Minnie and Mickey, on and on.

Thanks in advance!

Mickey shaped rice krispies treats are fun! Use a mickey shaped cookie cutter (I think you can find them online at laughingplace's online store), dip the ears in melted chocolate, and add sprinkles if you like. Just like they sell in the park! Also I found that birthdaypartyideas.com has a lot of great ideas for disney-themed parties.

I would do stations with different Disney characters driving the stations:

Princess Station - make a crown, make a wand, etc. Or you could even break this into individual princesses - Cinderella - Make a crown. Snow White - Poisoned Apple (like Hot Potato). Jasmine - Magic Carpets (like musical chairs).

Mickey/Minnie station - you could do a treasure hunt fashioned after Mickey Mouse Clubhouse tv show. Or maybe figure out a way to make Mickey Ears?

Donald/Daisy station - play the duck game (like a board game) or play Duck, Duck, Goose

Alice in Wonderland - Tea party, make Mad Hatter hats, play crouqet

Treat/goody bags would be easy - you could make Mickey Rice Crispy treats, buy Mickey or Princess fruit snacks, Target Dollar Spot & Dollar Tree always has Disney stuff - watch for these to go on 30%, 50%, 75% off, also little nail polish, lip gloss, etc. Another idea is to find out what McDonald's is using for Happy Meal toys between now & then - something might fit into the theme.

You could tell everyone to come dressed as their favorite Disney Character and have a character parade through the house or around the block. Most of the little girls I know in the age group seemed to go as a Princess or some other Disney character for Halloween so this should not be a problem. Play Disney Birthday music, etc. You could also burn a copy of the cd to put in the goody bags.

Thanks Princess Tiger Lilly - I love to plan kids birthday parties! I would have 2 or 3 birthday parties a year for my dd if I could - just because I love coming up with the plans. Hehehe. It was lots of fun before she started school - our play group had parties for Easter, Halloween, V-Day, etc.
