okay, me and all of Southern New England are looking to Southwest air for reasonable fares to MCO during April break. Does Southwest withhold discounted fares during know busy travel periods? If not, what is the best stratagy for snagging one of these fares! All other carriers fares for the third week in April are way beyond my pocketbook! We really want to spend Spring break at WDW. Got an AP rate at the Swan and our AP's in hand...just need to get there! Help!

Southwest only releases their fares for about 6 months out..they're only up to Jan. 11, 2002, at the present time. We flew SWA April 28- May5 2001, $99/each way from CA. Their really low airfare discounts were not available for FLORIDA ONLY, from about March 15-April 15 was blacked out. (I remember because we were trying to book after) Easter is earlier this year. Sorry, but I don't think there will be alot of Florida discounts for Spring Break. Isn't that where everyone goes? :)

LVD,

How much was your rate for the Swan? I am travelling near the end of this year and am looking at a couple of options, one being the Swan.

Don't have my confirmation right in front of me but know I booked a resort view balcony room with AP discount for about $195/nite including taxes and fees. Stayed at the Swan last April and fell in love with it's whimsical decor and it's great location. My daughters loved the grotto pool, and hubby and I loved its deluxe appointments at a moderate price. I highly suggest you check it out! Maybe we'll see you there! Just need to get the right airfare!

Hi! Once SW has released the rates, keep checking their website everyday. Check your flights under reservations - our next flight was actually cheaper than what was indicated under the rate shown. Remember that any stops add to the cost, cheaper on certain days of the week, etc. I usually try several days that we might be able to travel. We've gone early and stayed off-site for one night.

Good luck!!
