Need something French

I love Chefs de France & so do my kids. It's one of our top 5.

Chefs de France is good, but I like Bistro de Paris better.

I don't recommend Bistro for young children. The OP has both the Francophile kid (don't know if she is into the more elegant food) and a younger child.

Bistro doesn't have a child's menu. They might allow ordering from Chefs if asked but I've heard that recently they might not. It's also not on the dining plan.

I'm French and I enjoy lunch at Les Chefs, I much prefer it to dinner in fact. As far as it being crowded and close nit, well French Bistro's are much the same, square footage in Paris comes at a premium. In fact you often share your dining space with the company of peoples pet dogs.

Epcot dining provides Americanized ethnic food, Les Chefs is no different than Marrakesh, Tepan Edo, and Jiko (how often do you think they serve mac & cheese with a filet in Africa) in that respect.

I think your daughter would enjoy lunch at Les Chefs, and you too for that matter!

We thought the kid choices at Chefs de France were some of the best on our whole trip.

The adult food at dinner was just OK but if the goal is to eat French food, no problem at all.

We love Chefs. It's the one restaurant we usually always visit. Maybe, it's all in what you order. I've never gotten anything that tasted like a frozen dinner.

We have always enjoyed the food at Chef's de France, especially the French onion soup. The last time we ate there the service was not good. But that seems to be getting more common. Adding tables to accomodate more people, hiring less staff. I'd rather have good food and bad service than the other way around.

My daughter is 8. She's excited about Epcot and going to the countries. She loves the French language and really wants to dine at a French restaurant. We have a lunch reservation at Chefs de France; however, I've just read about 6 of the worst reviews I've seen on here.

a) Is it that bad?

b) Is there another option? She's 8. I have a 6 year old too.

We went there for dinner, totally spur of the moment and had a lovely meal.

Est-ce qu'elle va leur parler en francais? :goodvibes

I enjoyed the food. I have been to Paris and it is very similar to the cafes that we visited. I thought the meal was delicious, but we also went for dinner, not lunch. The server was wonderful and funny and spoke French (not to mention he was easy on the eyes) and explained what I ate in detail based on his country's ideals. Pretty neat.

I could suggest just go to the bakery across from the perfume shop (down the little alley behind Chefs) and get a wonderful little sandwich and some divine pastries. I got a very simple peasant-style sandwich of ham and tomatoes with a cheese bread. I also got a chocolate bread and it was sooo good. Sitting at the little tables outside the bakery is just like sitting on a Paris street- minus the smokers.

We ate there a few weeks ago for lunch (2nd time) and enjoyed it very much. In fact, I'm just writing up a dining trip report and just finished writing about our meal at Chefs De France.

You can find it here.

It's called "The Whole Family's Here...Let's Eat!"

Thanks to this dining review, I definitely know what I'm getting for dessert when we eat there in 10 days! Those cream puffs with chocolate sauce look delicious! :cloud9:
