Hello all. We are leaving tomorrow morning for SE Florida. DH has a second job interview, and me and the boys are going with him to check out the area. We don't fly out until Monday.

DH just suggested a one day, one night, trip to the World on Saturday! :bounce: It looks as though this is "value" season right now. We also are AAA members. We want to keep this as low cost as possible since we'd be paying for two room for Saturday night--a Disney resort and also our hotel in Port St. Lucie. Do you know if we can get a AAA rate by calling Disney reservations, or is this something that you have to do through AAA?

Any advice you may have would be most appreciated. Now we have to decide which park we'll do. ::yes::

Thanks safetymom. I just called. We can get the Coronado for $119 (taxes included). I didn't book it yet, because it is nonrefundable. (It's past the five day cancellation period.) Maybe we'll just see how it goes when we get down there and decide then.

You might want to try Swan/Dolphin for $99.

Hi!!
do you have to keep the night in PSI???? (port St lucie??) I would cancel it and go to disney!!!! Disney is probbly 1 3/4 hours from PSI go turnpike to oceola parkway straight to Disney!!
Are you moving to PSI?? Or can it be in the area?
Jenson bch is nice. We live in Palm beach county.

tnkrbell, I went to mapquest for directions, and it came to be 122 miles or 2 hours 12 minutes. We are flying in and out of Fort Lauderdale (because we could get cheap last minute direct flights). So, we still have to stay Sunday night in PSL. Here is our itinerary:

Thurs - arr. Ft.L 11:15 - drive around look at homes (stay in PSL)
Friday - all morning interview in Stuart (stay in PSL)
Sat - drive up to Disney early and do MK (stay at WDW OR PSL)
Sun - drive back to PSL and go to open houses (stay at PSL)
Mon - flight out of Ft.L at noonish.

Now, where to eat???

I would highly recommend S/D. It's a deluxe resort with great location. No need to use your car. Perfect for a short trip when you don't want to spend a lot of time with transportation.
