we are planning a trip in mid June, want to take advantage of the buy 3 get 2 free deal. So, it is me, DH & DS (6). Planning on staying at the RPR, seems like a good fit with a 6 yr old.
DH and I were at Universal once, many years ago when it was a stand alone theme park, so need some advice on the whole area.
What are some must see rides/shows for a 6 yr old. He will be close to 48 inches tall if there would be a height restriction.
Do you think the RPR pool area is good for him? We want at least one day of fun in the sun !!
What about restaurants? We love to eat at Disney !! Is there a character breakfast, or other meal he would enjoy? DH and I are big seafood lovers too. Is there a can't miss type restaurant?
Do you know how much transfers to/from airport/hotel are? I think I would rather do that than rent a car, especially since I heard you have to pay to park at hotels.
Thanks for all the input !!

There is the height requirements for your little one. He should absolutely love RpR pool. They have this kids area with running water that my nephew ran through and loved it.

There is a character breakfast at IOA with link to info above. They have some good pizza at I believe Louie's between The Mummy and Jaws area at US if he likes pizza. For adults many say Mythos at IOA is rly good but is only open something like 3 hours a day. I love margarittaville at Citywalk also. There is a bubba gumps shrimp there if you love seafood you could check that out.

I believe i read somewhere a mears shuttle back and forth was $18 or so. Probably cheaper then renting a car since yes it is I believe $15 to park the car a night plus the price of renting the car.

As for cant miss...There is feivels playground and behind that is a small waterpark and they have this big ball area inside where you fire balls at ppl with guns and its a blast my nephew loved it when he was 7.

Hope that helps. Any other questions be sure to ask. :) Have a great trip!

Is he an adventurous child or a reserved child? That makes a huge difference at 48 inches!!! He is allowed to ride most things except the coasters but would he like most things is a better question.

Lomabrds's at Studios is an excellent place to eat. We love eating outside by the water.

he is definitely adventurous !! 100% boy !!

Get him exposed to Spiderman and the other Marvel heroes before you go, and he'll LOVE the character breakfast at Confisco Grille at Islands of Adventure. It doesn't start until 9 AM, but they have THE BEST Spiderman ever there. He has all the mannerisms, the voice, and he knows all the movie and comic book trivia. They also have Seuss characters who are funny with the kids. We love making it a special event on one of our mornings there. Our 7 y/o was mad that we didn't go there twice in a row!

Then Spiderman is a must!!! He can probably ride all the rides he is tall enough for. It looks like he just can't ride the two big coasters at IOA and Dr. Doom's Fearfall. Everything else is a go.

I suggest getting him to watch Shrek, ET and perhaps Men In Black before you go. Also, the Cat in the Hat storybook is a good idea.

It costs about $35 to get from the airport in a taxi.

There is also a private town car as a transfer option. We are paying $95 for a round trip (MCO-HRH-MCO). This way, we don't have to worry about finding a taxi. Our guy will be waiting at baggage, holding a sign w/our name. Easy Peasy.
