We talk about Disney nonstop in my house. We're always planning our next trip, sometimes even during our current one.
This upcoming trip may be our last for a little while. There's a solid chance that I'm starting a new job in the coming year or so that will take over my life for a solid 2 years. Long story short, I'm looking to transition to an ad agency. It's pretty much like "starting over" in your career. Okay, so between that and other happenings within the family, we may have to cut back from Disney for a few years.
This year we're going big. We're staying deluxe for the first time at the Beach Club. We always do the meal plan. I know - it's not the best bang for your buck and I've tried to explain this to my family, but we're used to it and we're sticking with it. We also don't care about getting the best bang for your buck, we just wanna enjoy our meals and order what we want. Again, I know, we should be paying out of pocket.
We'll be there from 12/24-1/1 or 1/2 (depending on the price difference in flights).
Right now, here's what we're thinking:
12/24: Dinner at Il Mulino (OOP)
12/25: Breakfast at Crystal Palace; Dinner at Narcoossee's
12/31: Dinner at Rose & Crown
Other Restaurants we'd like to do:
- 'Ohana
- Kona for breakfast (OOP)
- Beaches and Cream for dinner & dessert one night (OOP)
- Beaches and Cream for dessert one night (OOP)
- Yak & Yeti
- Via Napoli for a large pizza split between the 4 of us (OOP)
We'll use a snack for most breakfasts at Boardwalk Bakery or the French Bakery. Initially we planned on trying Yachtsman on NYE, but I think they do a prix fixe. We'd be open to trying it at some point during our trip. We're also big fans of QS dinners at Contempo Cafe or Wolfgang Puck Express.
Some ones we're looking into:
- Captain's Grille - has anyone tried it? Thoughts on dinner?
- The Wave - haven't done it in a while. Last time we were sick and couldn't really enjoy it.
- Boathouse - thoughts?
- Morimoto lunch?
Places we've been that we're not interested in again
No exact reason. Either we didn't like it or we're just looking for something new.
- Teppan Edo
- Coral Reef
- Artist Point (loved it last year, but can't have too many sigs)
- Raglan Road (almost the same as Rose & Crown)
- Sanaa - never had it, but my family doesn't like the spices
- Chefs de France
- Biergarten
- Whispering Canyon
- T-Rex/Rainforest
- Tutto Italia
- BOG
I know, I left SOOO many options. But can anyone give some ideas? We're sitting down on Sunday and listing some favorites.
Thanks in advance!
