Need some sound advice

Has anyone had any issues with bringing audio recorders into the parks?

I plan to bring my Zoom H4n to act as my video mic. Normally when I shot video, it lives on an articulating arm on my DSLR rig and I run mics into it, but for this trip, I'm leaving the rig at home, relying on the built in stereo mics, and ordered a hot shoe mount. The camera / audio recorder will, for all intents and purposes, be as one piece of equipment.

My concern is that with the recent covert filming that took place in the parks, I am not sure how Disney is handling these types of devices.

The H4n is a bit large and the Redhead windscreen makes it appear even bigger. I love the clear stereo sound it captures, and would be terribly disappointed if I couldn't use it when shooting video, BUT I'd rather not spend an hour farting around with security over it.

Thoughts? Experiences?

I have a Rode VideoMic that I use when shooting video with my Canon 60D - it mounts on the flash shoe and is maybe 9 inches long with a 'dead cat' wind screen on it.

I have had security screeners at the entrance to the park tell me 'You can't use that in the park without permission' - because it is professional grade (which it really isn't). But they didn't stop me from taking it into the park.

Being a good citizen once I got into the park I promptly stuck it on the camera and shot parades and such with it. No one inside a park has ever told me to stop.

I may be able to overcome the security gate issue...with the device in its semi-opaque case, it bears a striking resemblance to a light meter.

I guess I'll stick it in the bag and see what happens.
