We always have used the buses at WDW, but this upcoming trip we are renting a car. We currently have a reservation booked with Alamo. What are any tips you can give about renting a car...as far as dealing with the rental company, driving to WDW, driving to the parks, parking, etc.. Any info would be great:goodvibes

Be sure to have some change for tolls. I forget exactly how much you need.

If you are using Alamo use the kiosk. It is much quicker.

When you pick your car in the garage, be sure to check the license plate. When we rented from Alamo at MCO last March we didn't notice until the day before we were goign to take the car back that the tab had expired. The attendent's face when I pointed that out was priceless! LOL

Driving to the parks is fairly simple. Just follow the signs. :)

Not only have quarters for tolls, BUT also pay attention looking for upcoming tolls. Vehicles must actually exit to the right to pay some tolls while cars with the auto-payment (is it SUN PASS?) continue straight, full speed ahead.

Write down the make, model, color and license plate number of your rental car. Unless you rent an orange minivan, it's amazing how much cars all manage to look alike in sea of vehicles in a theme park parking lot, and most of them have Florida plates! And there have been a few circumstances in which I've had to give that information to someone else.
