Need some prayers and pixie dust please...

My dad just called and my mom is in the hospital. They think she has had a heart attack. I did get to speak with her and based on what she told me it sounds like it. They are waiting on the blood work now to come back. They do plan to keep her overnight and do a stress test tomorrow but if the blood work comes back positive I imagine they'll do a cath instead.

So, I think I'm going to pack a bag and once I hear what's happening I'll head north. That way I can help them out around the house and such when she does get home. Thankfully I am in a position to be able to do that.

But any good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

She's feeling somewhat better. They gave her a shot to calm her and she said the nitro has helped as well. The initial blood work was negative but it can take up to 24 hours to show. So she's being admitted and they will repeat the blood work and see if anything has changed. So far I am staying put till then.

I'd like to think I had something to do with that. I was very vocal about how heart attacks present different in women then they do men. From what she relayed to me her symptoms were almost identical to what mine were. Glad she listened to me over the years.

Just talked to my mom and they're cutting her loose. All her blood work came back fine so it doesn't seem to have been a heart attack. Yay!!!
he said she's feeling much better but will still be having a stress test on Monday.
