Need some planning help getting from LHR to Marble Arch!

Hi guys and gals across the pond!!! I usually hang out on the cruise board but I am in need of some assistance. I am going to London on April 7 and staying at a hotel near Marble Arch and need to know some transportation options from Heathrow to the hotel. Looking for an inexpensive way. I checked taxi website and they want about $80.00 U.S. for the trip. I was thinking of train instead. It will be for 2 people and we will be arriving about 8:30 pm

Hi! For me, the preferred option would be to get the Heathrow Express train to Paddington station and then pick up a cab for the short journey to the hotel. Or you could take a look at the Transport for London website which will show you the best public transport journey to take. HTH!

Heathrow Express is definitely the easiest way into central London and probably the cheapest, I think a ticket these days is about 16 or 17 pounds.

The cheapest way would be on the tube(subway).

Piccadilly line one change at Holborn, which is actually past Marble Arch then back on central line, or two changes one at Green Park on to to Jubilee Line then at Bond street to Central Line.

Depends how much luggage you have with you.

Easiest option is Heathrow express to Paddington - then a pleasant 10 min walk down to Lancaster Gate Tube station - central line (tube) 1 stop to Marble Arch.

I would definately get the tube change at holborn and central line to Marble Arch . Which hotel are you staying at ? If it is the Cumberland , that is right by the tube station . If you do not want to change on the tube the heathrow express to Paddington would work but another taxi ride from there to Marble Arch would be another £6 - 7 .
