One of my daughters has had two special lovey/security bunny thing - like a flat little blanket with a flat bunny head- since she was about 18 months old. She's older now and still has them with her all the time, though she keeps them hidden from most people, usually in her pillow case.
Oh yeah, one important detail- she's 22.
They are looking pretty icky nowadays, gross, really. And the entire family has a great time giving her the business about these bunnies. We used to kidnap them and stuff but now no one wants to touch the hideous pile of gray string things. The bunnies aren't made any more but I recently found one in very good condition on EBay to give her as a sort of gag gift.
Instead, we are thinking of taking it to Disney with us next month. DH and I will be there for the first half of the trip and then my 3 daughters will join us. We're hoping to have a little fun with this bunny and then surprise her with it.
One idea we had was for DH and I to take a few selfies with the bunny, or a small part of it, in the background, as if a child had left it at a table behind us and we hadn't noticed it. Or maybe a corner of it in the background on the monorail. Then, we'd send the girls the photos via text to see if they notice. Kind of a clueless Flat Stanley approach.
Idea 2- see if we can get mouse keeping to incorporate it into a towel sculpture.
Just wondered if anyone has any other ideas. The trickier, the better.
Oh, and before you suggest we skip Disney and, instead, invest in immediate, extensive psychiatric care for her, I promise, it's not as bad as it sounds. She functions just fine without them. It's really just kind of comedy material for us, including DD.
