Need some itunes help

Okay so I opened up my itunes and it asks me to choose a library to use, it has never done that before well I do that and now I have lost all my old library contents. How do I get it back? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't mind doing it but it's a ton of songs that aren't in the same place and there's not an easy way to readd them
