Need some input for our first Disney trip!

I, myself hate to waste a day ticket in WDW:scared1: but there is a lot to consider. I recommended to the gabbyfamily to go for it based on their limited time and more vacation after WDW. My questions would be "is this your 1st visit?" "How many children and their ages?" :confused3 Our 1st day at WDW is always a half a day. We fly in and get to the room about 3:00pm and in the park about 4pm so this gives us a little time to do our favorites or the kids must do's first thing. Then we have a character meal at about 7:30pm (Chef Mickey). This allows them to see their favorite characters and takes the edge off of the excitement. :rotfl: Then we are off to our rooms for a great nights rest. :cloud9: We usually stay 5 days and this allows us plenty of time to enjoy the parks. But this trip we are staying 7 so we are looking forward to the extra days:dance3:.

Our kids are 21, 9, and 6. We're scheduled to leave MO at 12:15 and arrive in Orlando at 3:30. I don't see anyone being tired from such a short flight and I'm thinking we'll be so excited none of us will want to stay around the resort.

Yes, we'll have 6 days to enjoy the parks, but...IT'S OUR VERY FIRST NIGHT EVER IN WALT DISNEY WORLD! (that's me shouting it from the rooftops:banana:)

Since I wasn't truly sure how things would go our first "day", I didn't schedule anything to do that evening, so we're free and clear to do whatever, whenever, wherever.
