Need some ideas!

For those that don't know, let me update you. My husband was being sarcastic, and asked for a combined birthday (Jan.) and Christmas gift, and asked for tickets to an Anaheim Ducks home game. I ran with the idea, and we fly down on Jan. 19, do Disneyland and the game, the next day, a full day at the park and home on the 21st, so a whirlwind trip. He has no idea of this, and he is going insane trying to figure his gift out. Sooo, I am planning "12 days of Christmas". Each day he will have something small to unwrap, with the 12th one being the big one.
Each gift has to be a clue, without actually giving it away. So far, I have come up with a rubber duck (Anaheim Ducks), a toy teacup (teacup ride), a rubber mouse (to symbolize the big guy....Mickey), and a plastic poppy (California state flower).
Please help with ideas, I still need 7 more ideas.

I have a few.
- A ghost figure for the Haunted Mansion.
- A pirate ship for POTC.
- A mini CA state flag? That might give away too much though.

Oooh fun! Maybe an orange, for Orange County? That game is against the Sabres, so maybe one of those little plastic knives you put through sandwiches or olives? Maybe a cheapo pair of sunglasses? I have a feeling by about day 6, your husband will figure it out, but I still think it's fun!

let's think of ideas to throw him off. Maybe sunscreen so he thinks you might be going to the beach, or a Satellite TV brochure so thinks you might be watching the game on TV...

We already have NHL Center Ice channel on Satellite, and I might have a brochure in the recycle bin, as they come often, I will check

What about plastic bugs to represent bug's land over in California Adventure. I always forget about that area and maybe he will too. Kind of throw him off the scent.

A train whistle. What's more Disneyland than a train?

What about a pair of those stretchy mittens that you can get for like a dollar? Every ice rink I've ever been to is pretty chilly.

OK, I have a whole box of plastic swords, so that is done, my mom has plastic bugs that she uses in her classroom, so she is going to give me a few, and I have a sheet of pirate stickers LOL, I made a list of stuff mentioned here, and will get things as I see them. I no longer have a satellite NHL brochure, so will stop by the mall and get one. The orange will be given on the last day of the small stuff, and I will get the mittens from the dollar store, then when he opens the orange, and he guesses orange county, I can ask him why he would need mittens then.

From a mans perspective, I would go with the traditional 12 days and then add an extra day for a duck with something Disney. I am not smart and I rationalized it rather quickly. My two cents.

What do you mean by going with the traditional 12 days? I might be thinking along a different line here LOL
And he is a newfie, so I have an advantage here
The only thing that is giving me hope of him not actually figuring this out, is the fact that we would never and have never done anything like this. He has himself totally convinced that we are only going to West Edmonton mall LOL.
I was thinking of doing all of this in a 12 day type advent calendar, with the last day being the hockey tickets. The rest of the gift I will send over to my parents house ahead of time, and let him think he has to find his own way to Anaheim LOL, then he can open the rest later when we go over to their place for dinner and gift exchange.

I do agree with blackjack that he will probably get this figured out pretty quickly. If you give anybody eleven clues about their gift, they should guess it lol. That said I still think it is cute.

I don't know if this would give too much away but how about an airplane? I don't think you mentioned what hotel you're staying at but maybe there could be a clue representing the name of the hotel. For example, you could give a lion for the Red Lion or a candy cane for CCI. Maybe you could wrap the presents in disney wrapping paper? or Duck's wrapping paper? (do they make Duck's wrapping paper?)

Are there any players on the team named Howard or Johnson? You could get him a team jersey with that name on it.........I can't think of anything else very HoJo, altho I do have a HoJo luggage tag......I've never actually used it but it is on my luggage, I will take it off and send it to you if you want me to.....

Or maybe Lorealle would be able to send you a new one?
