We arent going until October, man... I dont know if I am more anxious for the birth of baby #4 that I dont know the sex of or for Disney! It really is such a magical place! Anyway, what are some recommendations? We will have about 4-5 day hopper passes (free so want to splurge on character meals) We are hoping to do one character meal on each day. Last year when we went me and the kids always ended our day at MK. But the parks close earlier this time (I am assuming around 7pm??) Also, are there any other places for character meals? At Disney resorts (we are staying offsite) that I can get into and should look at? Also, when should I try and get ressies for Cinderellas breakfast? I booked our trip within 3 weeks and couldnt get seats last time! Thanks for any tips! Steph mom to Sam 6, Megan 4, Grace 2 in 20 days and #4 due in 14 weeks

I think Cindy's is 60 days out you have to ring to make booking

I don't have kids but I can recommend some character meals that I enjoy and see lots of kids there.

Crystal Palace in the MK - great to see Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore

Cape May Cafe at the beach Club resort for character breakfast - Great great food characters are Chip'n'Dale, Minnie and Goofy all in their beach gear....cute

Chef Mickey's - any time is good. Mickey, Minnie, CHip'n'Dlae, Goofy and Pluto - lots of fun here.

The best food at a Character meal that we've had was the breakfast in Animal Kingdom at Donalds Breakfasarous (sp?). Great quiche!!! and very good prices.

We liked Garden Grille at Epcot.

There is also Character Meals at Ohana at the Polynesian and at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.

Being that the parks close early during your stay, you may want to visit DD at night and eat at Rainforest Cafe. Chef Mickey's is also a great place for kids and offers a party atmosphere!

Congrats on the soon-to-be new baby! Below are some great places I've dined at that I think you may enjoy!

1. Crystal Palace -- I've dined here MANY times and have always been pleased. Lunch is less expensive than dinner.

2. Garden Grill -- Food & character interaction was very good.

3. 1900 Park Fare -- Food was very good. When I went, it was Pooh, but it has recently changed to Cindy (figures).

4. Liberty Tree Tavern -- Have not had dinner here lately, but food was good.

5. Chef Mickey's (hesitant about recommending this though) -- I've had breakfast & dinner at Chef Mickey's. Breakfast was pretty good, but the dinner was awful. Complete waste of money in my eyes (this is just my opinion). The character interaction was not bad. If I had to choose between the 2 meals, I would definitely recommend breakfast over dinner.

I've never dined at the Cape May Buffet or O'hana's, but have heard wonderful reviews of their character breakfasts. Both offer dinner (CMB is buffet & O'Hana's is family-style), but are not character meals. Breakfast at Cindy's Castle is VERY VERY tough to get, so don't be disappointed if you can't get a ressie. They are also offering a princess breakfast at World Showcase in EPCOT, so that's an option, as is Cindy's meal at the 1900.

We booked our Disney trip 3 weeks before we went and didn't get to go. In the first 2 weeks of October, should I have trouble getting ressies for it? It looks like a TON of fun! And good food! Thanks! STeph

PS Thanks to EVERYONE for your great tips! We *should* have 5 days worth of free passes into the parks (enough for all 5 of us) so I would like to splurge on more character meals... plus, we paid $475 for a 2 week condo stay, 2bd 2ba and GORGEOUS!
