Hello Dis'ers I need some advise on grips for using my GoPro in WDW. I need to make sure I can use it on rides and won't break the self stick rules...................

Thoughts o_O

I don't know what mine is called but it's made for water activities. Short and bright yellow. It floats if dropped in water. Would be great for the parks.

For rides a chest strap is best.

If you want a POV type shot, right? Or do you rig something for selfie shots that way?

OP I'm glad you posted this thread. I've been thinking about this too.

And my dad has the yellow stick. I think it's just called the Float. Handy for water situations too.

That would be for POV recording. For rides if you want a selfie you can use the wrist strap or use the hand held pole. As long as it doesn't extend or isn't too long it isn't apart of the self stick ban.

Go pros are kind of terrible for photography though because they are fish eye camera. If you have a cell phone just buy a case with a wrist strap and use that for selfies.

I have a wrist strap/mount. It velcros on and will stay in the same position that you set it too. I waited for front row of mine train, and held on to the front bar. The video came out great.

I have some good GoPro video from the 7DMT also. There are limitations but...........I find it very good for rides. Although haven't found a good way to limit shake..........its tough getting older

I used "The Handler" made by gopro in september. If I was carrying it in, they asked a lot of questions but always let it in. If my daughter carried it, they let it right in with no problem. It's just a floating handle with wrist strap that works really well for coaster videos in case the camera gets away from you. Also the floating handle makes it interesting for water video.

I have the Bobber, the Grenade grip and the base by GoPole..I don't foresee any issues since they are not selfie sticks. Jaws Clamp Mount could be a good option, too.
