Do things you don't normally do....go cart racing, bowling, a cool museum, nice meal out, movie, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion Trish. Being up since 4am, I figured on top of the disappointment of losing a DW day, it would just be too much to send my guys to school, so I spent some time thinking about what to do. Your suggestion to go bowling was a great idea!! That's exactly what we did...I won!!! Dad lost!!! LOL!! Lots of fun. And than afterwards, we had a nice big lunch at a local Chinese Buffet so we are all feeling better by this afternoon. Not DW but still some fun family time in the sun.
Do you need to book seats or do they put you on stand-by with the rest of the passengers from today's cancelled flight?:
That was an excellent question & one I hadn't thought of...those Delta people can be sneaky....

.....anyway, I noticed that on the new e-tickets they sent, there was no assigned seating. I just got off the phone & they said not a problem at all but the only seating available for us was on the wing exit & they assign that last minute....hmmm....Anyway, she said we are ON, not stand by but ON the plane!

hugs!! But there is always a bright side -- which would you rather choose, a day's delay or an airline that didn't take safety into consideration? I'm sure you'd rather be flexible than potentially put your family into harm's way -- I saw the pictures on this morning's news of the situation in Florida and flying through that weather system wouldn't have been pretty. It sucks so much that your plans were messed up, but at least you're all safe!

Yes, you are absolutely right & I did say that exact thing to the boys....but first I let them have their little cry as it was disappointing. All is better now & we look forward to tomorrow!
I just have to say though...I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the CM's at DW...they absolutely are the nicest people & really have been so accomodating & kind! I've spoke to DMagical Express, DDReservations (ended up having to lose Hoop-de-Doo Revival

), CM's at POR....everyone has just been so nice to us & understanding. I know DW seems expensive to some people but my goodness they do a good job of keeping their customers happy!
So, hopefully, we will be their tomorrow.......................
