Airfare out of Pittsburgh to Orlando is $115.20 round-trip and I can get a room at Pop for $55 plus tx/night for a grand total of $720 for both. This trip is just me and DS6.

Should I reschedule my trip that I cancelled in Dec? DH will be back to work the first of Nov. and I can plan around DD's Christmas concert.

These are good prices and they won't be around in April. Tell me what you "honestly" think.

Trish

I think any expereince with family is worth it as long as you are not driving yourself to debt to take it. :)

If you can afford it, go for it. Those are great rates. :)

If you have the money and your son will not have to miss school, I say go for it. I would not pull him out of school or go into much debt to do this though.

Well, since I just got a wild hair to go at Christmas I'm probably the wrong person to ask! But, those are great rates and as long as I had the cash and I could afford it, I'd say go for it.

If it was a matter of going into debt for it, then no, I wouldn't.

I would not even consider it, if I would go into debt over it. O, decisions, decisions. :earsboy:

Well, then, I say go for it, Trish! And have a GREAT time!

This is always a great place to ask for advice on going to WDW. I mean, we're always go to say "go for it!"

It always gives me courage to bring it up with dh yet again.

Sounds like a good plan to me :D . Although I don't know the circumstances that caused you to cancel your other trip, those are definitely good prices.

Those are good prices, I say have a great trip. Time with kids are important.

If you want my honest opinion

If the trip was cancelled because of a downturn in finances - then no. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable scheduling a trip, even if the current codes are low.

WDW "bargains" happen frequently and they will happen again.

I don't think you will find many people on this board however that would EVER say a WDW vacation is a bad idea.

The first trip was not turned down to finances, it was because of school conflicts with my older children who were not going anyway. I cancelled and figured I'd just go in the spring. Then I got an email from travelocity on the airfare and I thought I could just schedule around their activities so I could be there to see them and still take the trip with my youngest.

If you were e-mailed that offer for the airfare, I'd double check to make sure it's actually available before you make too many plans. A lot of times advertised specials are sold out 5 minutes after the e-mail was sent.

GO! You and your son would have a great time. I have 3 trips in the works--one with my DH, one with my 4yo (meeting my sister and mother for my mom's first WDW trip), and one with only my 11yo. I also have older children, but no trips with them planned since this isn't their idea of fun.
