1) luggage tags. I am already in New Zealand for my cruise on the 16th and booked so last minute that the tags are going to be at home and I am going to be here. Port should be able to help? I am use to having to print off your own luggage tags.
2) a digital boarding ticket is good enough correct? No need to print off one?
3) you can change your dining rotation on board correct? I want one restaurant to be the single because it has the least appealing menu
4) can you go to guest services and pay your folio in cash? Something else I am use to on other lines
5) my online checkin has been pending since I did it a week ago. It says 2-3 business days but still nothing. Probably just make port arrival a bit more involved?

1) you can get luggage tags at the port.
3) yes. You can also, if you have internet access, put the request on your reservation beforehand. They typically don't do dining seatings until shortly before the cruise.
4) yes
5) "pending" can last a long time. Ours didn't clear until a week before our last cruise.

Yes you can go pay cash on your bill they will bill your card when it gets it gets to $500.

We missed them putting money on our card because the excursions went on all at once . We wanted to go home with nothing on our card. I this this happened on the second day.

We always print off but than they never look at them…lol

3) Don’t forget that when you dine in restaurants more than once the menu changes for each visit.
Exactly what I was going to say. The repeat visits are different menus.

I did not know that about the menus. When I have checked menus for the MDRs it has only ever been one. Still would prefer Tianas to be a double though.

Also another question. How do you avoid the guest introduction thing. I’m a single guy and really don’t want that attention.

If you have a 4 night cruise, the 4th menu will likely be the Pirate menu. Each restaurant actually has 2 menus, but you usually only see their second menu on 6 nt or longer cruises. Disney never repeats a menu during a cruise, even the 15 nt cruises!

Just tell the CM at the door (the one who asks your name) that you don't want to be introduced.

Got a booking email from DCL this morning with the cruise I’m on being rebooked and there being a difference in price. Does this happen often that Disney gets their taxes wrong?

It's not so much that they get it wrong, but taxes and port fees often change.

I really appreciate all your help in answering my questions. My online checkin was approved overnight (kiwi time) and everything looks good to go. This is my first solo cruise, first cruise outside of the Caribbean, first on Disney. So very nervous and excited. I have mapped out where the ports are in Melbourne and Auckland. Both are very centrally located. And aucklands is about a 5 minute walk from my post cruise hotel. Enjoying the rest of my trip so far but being on the Wonder is going to be the finishing touch to a fantastic four week vacation.

In addition to what @PrincessShmoo said, I'm guessing DCL would rather slightly overestimate taxes and port fees and then give everyone a refund than underestimate and then have to charge everyone again. Anytime I've ever gotten a refund it's been a small amount, so I'm really okay with it.

Just to temper expectations on the dining… you can definitely request a rotation change onboard, and DCL will try to accommodate. But if the cruise is full it may be harder to do, early dining may be harder, a private table request may be harder, etc. It is best to get a dining rotation request added to your reservation in advance.
