Need some help!!!

We are going to be at DW July 12-19. While we are there it will be my son's birthday. How can I find out if there is something special I can do for him either at the resort (CS) or a restaurant?

Oh, I don't know, but I have to ask. My grandfather's nickname is Poppie! Is your username a nickname, too, or is my pronunciation off? Never met another, you'd be the first.
You can mention to your checkin CM that you are celebrating his birthday. Sometimes they will send a surprise to your room. Mention it when you make your room reservations or dinner reservations. Or, plan a party at a restaurant. I have no experience with this. I hear Chef Mickey's is great for birthday dinners, with characters. They have a decorate your own cupcake with Goofy station for dessert.
Or get him the Kitchen Sink ice cream sundae at Beaches and Cream (Beach Club). Its gargantuan and you'll never finish it. 1 scoop of every flavor and every topping.

BlueFairy, my daddy was a poppie to his grandchildren! poppee1, call the resort and ask them to mark on the reservation that it is your son's b-day. if you are going to a special restaurant to celebrate his day, be sure to mention that when making the PS's. and don't forget to go by city hall in MK for a birthday badge and epcot guests relations also has the b-day badges. they have happy birthday in different languages!

I have read reports where people have mentioned the occasion at check-in, and the children have received items such as balloons, an autographed pic of the characters, etc. At the MK, be sure to go to City Hall and get an "It's My Birthday" button!!!!!!!!!! Also, most of the sit-down restaurants can provide a cupcake or cake to sing Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!! Have fun!
