Hey everyone,

I am going to Dis this August and booked Pop Century. We stayed there last year and loved. My DD who is 10 really liked the place and especially loved the game room. I would like to change my resort to CSR to try someplace different. I heard that it is more stuffy and less Disney then some of the others (is this true). Can someone tell me anything about it. Also, how is the Game Room - is it the same size as the one in Pop Century (is it just as nice). My DD loves that stuff.

Do you think she will like CSR as much as Pop or should I just stick with Pop. My wife thinks the resort looks beautiful from the pictures and I would like to try a different resort also.

The resorts I have stayed at so far are CBR, POFQ and Pop. So far I think I liked Pop the best.

Thanks

You have to try CSR! (They have a game room too...but I don't know how the size compares.) My kids (8 and 11) LOVED CSR and begged to stay there again. The pool is so much better than POP and in August, that's important. It has a great slide that our whole family enjoyed over and over. It is not at all stuffy, IMO. We had a really good experience with the bus service too. Your instincts are leading you in the right direction...CSR.

I haven't stayed at POP, but I have stayed at CSR & absolutely LOVED it! My DS was 12 at the time & he loved it too. There are actually 2 game rooms - one in El Centro & one in the Dig Site complex by the pool.
It isn't at all stuffy. We really never saw the conventioneers, even tho there were signs up in some places indicating that there was a convention. Not that that matters to us anyways.

The pool is outstanding. The Pepper Market is the best food court on WDW property. The bus service was fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. The amenities are pretty close to what you have a WL, IMHO.

Go for CSR - It's a great resort.

Oh, BTW - we stayed at CSR after spending the previous 8 nights Poly concierge, so I thought we would be let down "moving down" like that - But, we weren't remotely. In fact there was alot we liked better about CSR than we did at the Poly.

CSR has 2 game rooms, one at the main building and one poolside. Check out my CSR website below for pics of both. Your DD will love the main pool area. My DD is 11 and she loves the 123 ft slide.

We stayed at the CSR last September and loved it. The bus service was excellent, the rooms and housekeeping well done, and the Dig Site pool complex is the crown jewel of the resort if you ask me.

The lake the campus is centered around is very pretty, and my two year old was in heaven feeding the ducks and the fish every morning. (They have little coin operated food pellet gumball type machines around). Like a lot of the resorts it has boats, fishing, etc... for rent.

I had read some negative reviews before we went and I did have a little trepidation about choosing it. Typical complaints about it's too far to walk around the complex and the food court is bad - seemed to be semi-common. I found none of these to be true. Our room was as far away from the Dig Site as possible and it was still a lovely five minute walk to the pool every night.

As far as food choices, we only ate at the Pepper Market, which I think is one of the better food courts in Disney as far as selection and quality. However, it probably could be run a little more efficiently. It's the one place you don't want to eat if the conventioneers are on a meal break.

I think it's a great choice.
