I was thinking about going to DL in early August '07 and had a couple of question I was hopeing I could get some with.

I will be staying off site, and will be driving down from Northern CA.

First off, I was wondering about the longest tickets you can buy? I heard somewhere that it was 8 days... but I can only find 5 day on Disneyland.com ... so where do I find (and buy) the 8 day w/ park hopper? They do have an 8 day ticket right? Or is 5 day the max, and I'd have to add the extra days? I could have sworn I heard it was 8 days:confused:
(I just want to get the MAXIMUM ticket)

How are the Early August crowds? Horrible? Moderate? Decent? Good?

How is the weather?

How long are wait times?

I havent been to DL in like 6 years so any advice or pointers would be GREATLY appriciated.:)

It looks like 8-day Park Hoppers are the max you can order even when booking through the Disney Web site. Perhaps if you call them, they may offer you a longer pass.

We've gone to DL in August several times. We've never found the crowds or lines to be unbearable because we always got into the park at opening and did most of our rides in the early hours, plus we used fast passes. The only times that I really felt like we were in a herd of cattle were right after the parades, fireworks and Fantasmic.

We always took a break in the afternoon to go swim at our hotel.

We don't go to DL in August anymore because we can't take the heat the way we used to. Being from Washington state, we're used to pretty mild temperatures during the summer.

As far as i know 8 day hoppers are the longest you can get, with the 7 day & 8 day hopper being the same price. We went the last week in August in 2006 and it was pretty busy, but not overwhelmingly so. It was our 1st expereince going during peak time (since 1988)and we used ridemax so we never had longer than a 30 minute wait for anything. The weather was actually decent, it was in the 80's & 90's. We always took an afternoon break from the parks to go and swim which always gave us a chance to cool off. We enjoyed our trip since all the shows were running daily and park hours were longer.

We have been the first week of August the last two years. High temperatures were about 85 degrees both years, Crowds were tolerable, especially if you get an early start at the parks each day and avoid weekends.

Where do I find ther 8 day tickets? So far what I am seeing at disneyland.com are 5 day.:confused3

If I were you, I would just buy an Annual Passport for $239. The only blackout days in August are the first three Saturdays (4th, 11th, 18th).

Not only would you be able to go again later in the year, but you get some special discounts at the hotels, etc., with an Annual Passport sometimes.

Exactly! You'd save over $30 worth on food alone. My problems is I never remember until it's too late. :p

We bought a 14 day park hopper through our airline (Air New Zealand). I could not find it anywhere online though. From memory, it was about $270 AU, so maybe $220 US.
Good luck!

22 hours to go!!!
