I just got off the phone for my friend who is new to Disney...CM told me that I couldn't use the DGL code b/c it was a AAA only rate and if I wanted that code, I would have to call & book my package thru AAA? Is this correct? Then she proceeded to tell me that I had a great rate thru the Disney Visa code...the room rate at POP for 9/25-10/4 is $99/night which isn't that great if you ask me since I think the rack rate is $111. Does anyone have a similiar situation?

Then i called back and another CM told me because our dates are 9/25-10/4 that they would have to use the Disney Visa code from 9/25-9/27, check out, and then check in again using the DGL code for 9/28-10/4 even though it's the same hotel. AND the savings would be a only $100 or so...

DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE???

Unfortunately, yes it does. Your friend is correct re AAA. You can book an AAA room only rate through Disney, but if you want a AAA package (tickets & dining), you must book through AAA. The AAA discount is only on the room.

If you do not want dining, you can then book AAA through Disney or AAA, and you can buy discount tickets through AAA or another outlet like Undercover Tourist.

Sorry- need to clarify- she booked a MYW package minus dining. When i said it was $99 a night i was referring to what the CM broke the price down to me as.

So i guess what i am asking is what is the best way to go for MYW at POP from 9/25-10/4?

The problem is because her check-in date is before the code comes out. She'll either way to check-out and check back in or change her dates.

Ok, so if she were to check out and check back in what two codes would be the best savings for her? You guys are great with all of the help- thx

The problem is that she can't book two packages without starting her tickets over again from scratch at the second check-in date. So she's better off just using the code for the Sept 25th package and sticking with that for the whole stay.

Only other option would be to do room only.

I would do a package with the codes for the dates available. For the remainder I'd do room only. This would mean having 2 reservation numbers and possibly checking out and back in. There is a chance that they may make her change rooms, but if she verifies the 2 bookings at her time of registration, they probably will let her stay in the room she already is in.
