Need some help from all of you So. CA DIS'ers!!

Hey all of you Southern Cal DIS'ers...

Looking for some help with our plans for a Southern Californian trip later in the summer...

We will be going to Universal, Magic Mountain, water park at Magic Mountain, Hollywood, Warner Bros. Studio, etc. Any other suggestions of other attractions to see? We probably will do Disneyland for a couple of days too.

Does anyone know where we would be best finding a hotel? Should we stay in Hollywood/Burbank area?

It will be me and my 2 kids, my sister and her 2 kids and my mom. The kids are ages 8 thru 15 years old. We probably will be staying for about 3-4 nights.

I have stayed at the Sheraton at Universal--don't know if that will be in my sister's budget or not. I might try Priceline or Hotwire...

Any suggestions would be helpful...

If you're just looking for a central place to stay to travel to all your different attraction destinations, and you don't mind a LOT of driving, then I'd recommend staying somewhere near the beach.

If you prefer NOT to have tons of driving (always a wise choice in Southern California) then I'd recommend you stay a couple of days in the L.A. area (or however many days you want to do the attractions up there) 0and then switch to a Disneyland area hotel. It just much simpler from a logistics point of view.
