I'm going to see Britney Spears on the 7th June and we are staying here http://www.radissonedwardian.com/londonuk_canarywharf at the Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf in Canary Wharf. The hotel looks lovely - the only problem is I have just had an email from the O2 saying the jubilee tube line is closed that day  How on earth do I get from our hotel to the O2 now? It doesnt look like you can walk....so I am thinking taxi - any ideas about how much it would cost (please prepare me for the worst!), and how easy is it go get a taxi from the 02 after a concert?

In addition - there is a planned tube strike on the 9th while we are still in London :scared: Help!

There are replacement buses -

Jubilee line

Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June, suspended between Green Park and Stratford. Two rail replacement bus services operate.

Service E: between Bank and Canada Water, calling at Monument, London Bridge and Bermondsey.

Service F: between North Greenwich and Stratford, calling at Canning Town and West Ham.

Looking at the above map Canning Town tube looks about the same distance as Canary Wharf tube.

You should get a cab no problems after the concert, they normally have them sitting at north greenwich station. However it can be quiet a pain getting out of there after a concert due to the traffic so the taxi meter could run up a bit sitting in the traffic around the o2. We've been stuck on the road leading away from the o2/north greenwich for about 20mins before after a concert.
You could get the DLR from canary warf to cutty sark station and from right outside the station (right by the weatherspoons) get a 188 bus to the o2, the bus should only take about 10mins at the most. I think theres also a bus that runs that route but im not sure, you can check www.tfl.gov.uk for other routes :)
