I need some advice before i go crazy..We were originally going the last week in April and had to change plans, so we backed it up to the last week in August before the kids go back to school. Now we have decided to either back it up to the last week in September or go May 14-21st. I know anytime at Disney is better than anytime at home.

Part of me wants to move it up because I am inpatient and we all want to go so badly. The other part of me wants to wait until September so that the new frozen ride will be open along with Soarin, and it is a slow time of year. We don't have any die hard frozen fans, it would just be something simply new for us. Its been about two years since we have been and I feel like im going crazy :headache:.
Plus our middle son was diagnosed with Autism and Disney is just his favorite and all the words he can say are pretty much Disney characters :love:
Which week would you all pick?

Both are fantastic choices, but I think I would do Sept. the Halloween party will be going on. But, I have heard May is absolutely lovely weather and that should be a slow week. Hmmmm. I guess I am no help!

We love the May time frame you mention because of the weather and crowd level. For the new stuff I would go later in the year. We have put off going until later to get as many new things open as possible. It difficult but I think it's worth it.

Maybe you should have your son help with some of the planning. Maybe match up the attractions he wants to go on with characters they go to. I don't know what to tell you about how you can keep yourself busy until the later month though.

September is hot, humid, and rainy. May is generally gorgeous. Crowds will be about the same at either time.

I didn't know That there was a new Frozen ride. In which park? We will be there in early December.

Well this will be hard to figure out. I feel like I have waited this long but at the same time I would rather pull out oldest out of school towards the end of the year than the beginning. I hate trying to decide lol

I voted for end of September because the Halloween party is my favorite thing to do at Disney.

Also, you'd be missing out on a lot of new stuff that will be open, like the new Soarin film, the Frozen ride and I think there is other stuff I'm forgetting.

Frozen Ever After, it is going in Norway in Epcot, taking the place of Maelstrom. It should be open sometime in June along with a new meet and greet area for Anna and Elsa.

Ideally, I'd go in the fall because I'm a Halloween fanatic and love seeing DW in the fall. Realistically, I would end up going in May because I'm impatient. I think crowds are pretty comparable. Is there a big price difference for lodging? That might influence the decision?

I don't have Epcot in our plans for this trip.. But I'm using 2 days of non expiring hoppers so we may have to hop over to Epcot on our HS day!

Oh btw- OH!

We are actually trying to stay at the fort, we have been trying for years but have never been able to make it happen. They do have the room only discount right now. So it's not to much of a bigger jump. The only other thing that could increase it is we could stay a day or two longer.

There was discounts when I went in September. Free dining and 25-30% off room only (I can't remember which). I passed on the free dining bc the room discount was MUCH better..and then added the dining plan at full price. Worked out wonderful :)

It's not such much the room discounts in to worried about, it's more the crowds and stuff. I secretly deep down know that September is the better time. I'm just don't impatient and just want to go soo badly. Lol but thank you all for your advice!
