So we have been posting a lot about going in August with our ds 5 and our soon to be DS who will be two months old. Everyone on the them park thread said it would be a very bad idea with the heat and crowds. I am still not sure if we wont do it, but if we dont we have the possibility of going the first week in March which would mean we would be camping. We have everything that we need since that was our plan the last two years except we had to change it. I guess what I am asking is it doable? This will be our first time camping and it would be from March2- 10th I am not really sure what to do. I really would like to wait so that I have the chance to ride rides in August and see all the new things that will be opening but I also dont want to put the new baby through all of that!!! HELP ME PLEASE! LOL :confused3:confused3:confused3

I almost think that I would wait 1 year and then go.
I don't think that I would take a baby that young and I think that there are alot of things that you couldn't or shouldn't do being 6 months preggers.
I would certainly not want to risk either one of you.

You could still go in August but you would have to plan your days around avoiding the parks at the hottest times. What I would do, if your heart is set on going in Aug, is make sure you're up and at the parks for rope drop every day. Plan on leaving the parks and going back to your room around noon and then going back to the parks after 5-6ish. As long as you keep everybody hydrated I dont think you will have to much to worry about.

Thanks for everyone's response. I think that is what we are going to have to do as much as I would love to go right now it just wouldn't be a good idea. WE would have like no money for spending or food this just gives us a little more time to save!

With the new baby, you might want to consider a small A.C. unit for your tent. The other weather issue in August is rain. If you're prepared for the weather, you should be fine. Have fun.

You could always leave the baby with one of the disney sitters. Then you could enjoy some time without having to worry about the heat and such. Good luck!

We went in August when our son was 1 year old. It was very hot and we took frequent breaks at the baby facilities located in each park. The baby stations are very nice with supplies and rocking chairs as well as private nursing areas if that is a concern. We all survived and had a great time. We also got his first hair cut done on Main Street, that memory was well worth the hassles of traveling with a one year old.

I just wanted to put my two cents in... We took my son when he was three months old and then we went back a year later when my son was 1 and my daughter was 2 months. We drove down from CT and we went in July both times. Yes it was hot, but it was SO doable. We had a blast, did frequent breaks, found where the shade was but we had so much fun and have so many great memories. I would do it again in a heartbeat. One vital thing we got was a fan for the stroller and a sun shade which were great.
