Ok...Alamo is the cheapest for our trip on Feb 3-10th and I have finally learn to live with it. Don't get me wrong - I have used Enterprise and Budget in other cities and have had no issue. But I hear the Alamo counter line in MCO is just awful (like 1 hour waits, etc.)

So now you are thinking why doesn't she do the online check-in (***********) feature. I would LOVE to but I can't. No matter how many ways I slice it or try to do it I don't fit the restrictions. For example, I have one reservation with them (and it was the cheapest at the time and still is) for a mid-size suv. Apparently that is not a vehicle that you can do online check-in and skip the line.

So I saw on the boards tonight about the online 15% ecoupon (btw thanks to the folks here on the board for always being gracious with their tips, etc.). I put in the codes, etc. and "booked" a full-size for just 4 dollars cheaper then my previous booking (see above). I did this all for the simple justification of not having to wait in the Alamo line. But at last, this reservation would also not allow me to by-pass the line as the 15% ecoupon, I guess, is considered a coupon - which is one of the restrictions in terms of skiping the line - if you got a coupon you must go to the counter (NO soup for you :sad2: ).

In any event (and sorry for the long thread here) I have pretty much resigned myself to having to wait in line. However, we have our 2.5 daughter with us and was hoping that I could take her to the line with me while my husband went to go get the luggage. Would this work ok (i.e. in terms of logistics and finding each other in the airport, etc.)? :confused3

I have never flown into MCO, but would love to know as well. I hadn't heard that about the long lines and all. I have also booked the equinox and used the coupon. We will be arriving at 10am on a Sunday. Maybe it won't be very busy....(hopeful thinking)

I don't think going to get the car would be a problem. The car rental desks are one level below the luggage pick up . Just have DH pick up the luggage and bring it down to you at the counter. Then you could go to the lot and get the car... However, if you want him to be listed as a driver he has to be there when you rent.

You can just stand in line and if he's not down by the time you get up front, let people in front of you until he shows up.
