We are visiting WDW the 2nd week of October 2005 and will be staying at BCV on our DVC points. We are thinking about extending our trip by pulling our TrailManor RV along and then spenting the 3rd week of October 2005 at FW.

I'd like to know how much lead time we will need if we decide we want to try and get a campsite the 3rd week of October 2005.

Any an all help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Neighbor!!!! I am not sure, but I would say that with it being MNSSHP dates in October, you might want to book that as soon as poosible. We will be there Oct. 22nd -26th (I think were our dates) and we made our ressies a few months ago and we could not get a preferred site like we wanted. I am sure that someone else is more versed on October crowds than I am...this is our first time we are going to be there in October.

Good Luck!! :wave2:

bcvillastwo,
I just called last week and got a preferred site for 16-23 October. There didn't seem to be any problem getting that but I would make your reservation as soon as possible. I also called on Wednesday and got preferred reservations for 6-18 January and that was available too. Can't wait to get back to FW :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

HI

we camped last year in October. I made our ressies in July. Of course I was worried with all the hurricanes last year.. But we held out and made it down. There was some damaged trees while we were there and a few sites were closed. The campground filled up over the weekend and weeded out come the following Monday. We stayed in the 1300 loop and it was pretty full.

This year for some reason when I made ressies(10-9 to 10 -15) they only had preferred and just elc/w with the kids and gramma's we need the sewer :) Sure I could try calling back and changing but I figured the kids could use the cable this trip, the last 2 times we had the dish and 2 tv's but Dh only brought one receiver.. you'd think they'd died LOL..

Also the week we were there the golf tourney was going on too.Not sure what impact that has on the campground. I was glad to see the school had moved the girls fall break up a week.We will get to do MNSSHP twice this year :)

Happy Camping

It is ALWAYS best to book as soon as you even "think" you might want to go. Just do a room only reservation which requires one night deposit.

You can always cancel it if you need to.

Sometimes the weeks will be open, but the weekends fill up with locals.
