Hey all, when I was a kid I was in the Boy Scouts, and one time we went on a trip to Fort Wilderness, and during the trip we went on a campfire excursion. They took us back through the trail on the NE side of Fort Wilderness, over a bridge I believe, and then we stopped at this cleared area. There was a little shack type building, a big firepit, and it was right near the canal entrance into Bay Lake.
We sang songs, had a big campfire, played games, etc... The problem is, I have never even seen this mentioned anywhere else, I can't remember all the details of it, but I was wondering if anyone else ever did this?? I'm not sure how it was all setup, I'm assuming Disney was involved in some way. I have looked numerous times to find more info on how this was all setup, and if it was something they did back in the day but don't do any more. Anyone with any knowledge on this please tell me what you know!
P.S. I put a map below showing the general location of where I believe this took place....
