We always go to WDW during spring break which falls during the F & G festival. Epcot is my favorite park and I love that time of year. This year we are going thanksgiving week due to our daughter’s work schedule. I’m not worried about crowds, I can handle that, I’m worried that the Festival of the Holidays will be a let down from the F & G. Tell me your “mus-dos” at this time.

I go to both. I LOVE both!! But for very different reasons. I love the FOTH because I love to learn about and experience many cultures. The food offerings are great and often festive. The Storytellers are amazing! I think my favorite is Norway, but that could change as I remember experiences from other Countries as well. I can't say that YOU will love it, but I can tell you that I LOVE it!

Have not done Festival of the Holidays for a few years.
Have done F&W and F&G last several years. While F&G is nice, it isn't close to what F&W. I would expect Festival of the Holidays to be closer to F&W.

Festival of the Holidays is very fun! They are very different and you really can't compare the two.

If you go into it looking to compare it to something else, you'll likely be disappointed. Instead, go into it excited to experience something new for what it is.

Life is ALL about perspective.

I can understand having a favorite festival and wanting to experience it again and again. What do you like about F&G?

Personally, my favorite part of any of these festivals are (1) adding variety to take in new Epcot experiences and (2) the food offerings. I find that Epcot feels brighter, buzzier, and more energetic during these times of year. It's all about the new and limited time offerings, and the things that I end up enjoying are often the ones that are unexpected. So trying something you haven't seen before (like F&G) means more surprises and discovery fun.

And as for the food, I have to say it looks amazing:

As children grow, you no longer have control over their schedules.
Feel blessed that you are still able to go and she wants to go with you.
Treat this as an opportunity for new traditions.

I have not been to a festival but I believe in a Disunplugged video the other day one of them was saying how they like the FOTH the best. I think it has something to do with the other festivals becoming so much like each other and the Holiday one being truly different. I dream of my grown daughter one day wanting to go with me to Disney and the holidays would make it even more magical. Have a wonderful time!
