I ordered a 10" cake for my mom's 70th birthday from the GF bakery today.
I don't want to take away from the "WOW" factor of doing that for her by having
two more birthday cakes delivered to us at restaurants for my sons birthdays
later in the week. Besides, while on the DDP we will have dessert with each
meal so I don't always want to be eating dessert and then trying to find room
for cake. Here are some of the ideas I have come up with but would love to
consider your ideas: Use our counter service credits for breakfast one day
and then instead of eating lunch go to Beaches and Cream or Ghirardelli and
order the Kitchen Sink or the Earthquake (assuming Ghirardelli still has this). I
think we are not giving presents--just birthday cards with Disney Dollars,
etc.--so that is easy to take along for the "party". The other idea I had was
to pick up a refrigerated cake from our resort's food court and have a little
celebration in the food court at an "off" (non-crowded) time. Any more ideas?
Oh, yeah... there will be seven of us at one party and nine at the other
son's party.
